Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 23 August 2026

This Privacy Policy applies only to our public website located at https://www.neuronsearchlab.com (the “Site”). It does not apply to our recommendation engine product, customer accounts, or any login-restricted features. Privacy terms for those environments are described in the applicable service agreement.

1. Data Controller

The data controller for personal data collected through this Site is:

NeuronSearchLab

Email: hello@neuronsearchlab.com

For GDPR-related requests, please use the subject line “Data Subject Request”.

2. What Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways:

a) Information You Provide

When you fill out a contact form, request a demo, or subscribe to our newsletter, you may provide your name, email address, company name, job title, and any message you include voluntarily.

b) Information Collected Automatically

When you browse the Site and have given cookie consent, we collect analytics data including: IP address (anonymised), browser type and version, device type, pages visited, time on page, scroll depth, click patterns, and approximate geographic region. If you have consented, we also collect session recordings — visual replays of your interactions including mouse movements, clicks, and scrolls — via PostHog. We never collect precise location data or link analytics data to your identity without your explicit action.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to enquiries and demo requests you submit
  • To send newsletters or updates if you have opted in (you may unsubscribe at any time)
  • To understand how visitors use the Site and improve its performance
  • To analyse aggregated usage patterns for content and product improvements
  • To meet legal or regulatory obligations

We do not use Site-collected data to train recommendation models or algorithmic systems.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the UK or European Economic Area, we process your personal data on the following legal bases under Article 6 of the UK GDPR / EU GDPR:

Consent (Article 6(1)(a))

Analytics cookies, session recording, and associated data processing. You provide consent via our cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time using the “Manage cookies” link in the footer.

Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f))

Security monitoring, fraud prevention, and maintaining the technical integrity of the Site. We have assessed that these interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

Performance of a Contract / Pre-contractual Steps (Article 6(1)(b))

Processing enquiries, demo requests, and contact form submissions where you have initiated contact with a view to engaging our services.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies only when you have given consent via our cookie banner. No analytics or tracking cookies are set if you decline or have not yet responded. You can change your preference at any time via the “Manage cookies” link in the footer.

For full details including a complete cookie table, see our Cookie Policy.

When you accept cookies, PostHog session recording is active. This captures a visual replay of your visit — including mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and page content as you interact with it — to help us understand usability and improve the Site. Recordings are stored on PostHog's EU-region servers and are retained for 12 months. Session recording is never active unless you have accepted cookies.

Google Analytics 4 — Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd

Provides website analytics. Data may be transferred to Google servers in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses. Google Privacy Policy
